Question About Kale

I give my 8 RIR's kale every day. I don't let them free range after an episode with a dog so I thought they need green veggies. They also get cabbage and an occasional yellow squash or cucumber. Is this ok? They go crazy over that kale!

As long as it doesn't exceed 10 to 15% of their regular daily layer ration diet it should be fine.

Kale is an excellent "treat".

I grow some just for the flock in containers.
