Question about kit color

I recently bought an unrelated trio of New Zealand rabbits - a black buck, a black doe and a white doe. I just found some kits - some black, some gray. Do the colors change as they get older? I didn't think NZ could be gray... does this mean one or more of the parents is a mix?

Can you post a pic of the kit? New Zealands can be blue, but if the kit is chinchilla, then it's likely there are genes from another breed in your herd.

Will black x black make blue, or black x white, or either combo? Just curious - the rabbits are in a colony setup, and I never see them doing anything... I'm not sure which one is the mother.
