I have a trio of blue barred bantam cochins and so far they have produced black barred, blue barred and some pale blue colored chicks. So far the oldest chicks are just starting to color up and the light blue ones are still solid light blue ( no hint of splash going on ). Is it possible for them to be lavender?

I believe, but am not 100% sure - that lavender is a separate color from the blue. [IMG] I have had splash chicks take many, many weeks to actually develop splashing.

horsefeatherz is right, lavender is a separate color from lavender. Are the lighter chicks barred also? I would think if they're a great deal lighter than your blue barred chicks that they're splash.
