question about laying

I have a red/golden comet and a barred plymouth rock. They are now 20 weeks old. They're on organic livestock feed from the local feed store. Will I need to feed them layer pellets for them to start laying? and when will they start to lay?

What protein percent is your current feed? Calcium?

Are you sure they aren't laying in the yard/run?
It's hard to believe your golden isn't laying lol

I don't know, the feed doesn't say. It's just Organic Pride certified livestock and poultry feed.

It's been twenty weeks and I've looked all around and they haven't laid a single egg.
