Question about lockdown's eggcartons

So I went into lockdown yesterday, and I put my eggs in the bottoms of eggcartons. I heard that you are suppose to cut the bottoms of each little egg slot so the egg can breath. I forgot to do this. Is it absolutly nesassairy to cut them, because I am already in lockdown and I dont want to risk the eggs.

I've never cut any holes in the cartons and my eggs hatch just fine.
