The last 15-20 days my muscovy pair have started attempting to mate. And I say attampting because the male doesn't seem to know what to do with her when he puts her down on the ground. The female looks to surrender and even lifts her tail up but he mounts her the wrong way and preens her featrhers once she allows him to mount her. Is this behaviour normal? I had read somewhere tha it takes the males a bit longer to mature? Could this be my case here?
