According to Henderson's Chicken Chart, minorcas are early maturing. My surprise minorca is 21 weeks old and she doesn't look anywhere near ready to start laying.

What's an average age for a minorca to start laying?

TIA

The hatchery /commercial stock can be small in size and lay early, but the really large standard stock are slower to mature and may not start before 7 months or so.They should be very large birds that lay very big eggs.

Does anyone have pictures of a real good standard bred show quality minorca, I am looking more for a hen, but either will do, need it for comparison, just took one of mine to my clubs show, and learned that they need to be quite long, mine are definetly not big enough, that I knew, however, I would like to see this 'length' they speak of?
