We have Silkie eggs in the bator right now that honestly are on day 22 -- but we hear them peeping so I guess they are just a bit slow to come out.

But...I have a 2nd batch of mixed eggs (RIR, EE, Comet, Cuckoo Maran, Leghorn, Partridge Plymouth Rock, and even a Guinea Fowl) -- They should go on lockdown tomorrow - -but when I candled most of them just now they do not look nearly as developed as I have seen Day 18 pics look? They are in there but there is still A LOT of empty space in the pointed end and they just don't seem to fill out the shell as much. Is this normal? Or do I wait and do lock down later.

I read the Guinea Fowl have a longer incubation period - but I think this egg is a mix so not a true guinea either?
