This is probably a stupid question but I just have to ask. I have an older Marsh Farms Turn X 5 that is a forced air unit. I set the eggs yesterday but have no room for a "heat sink". I replaced the spirit carded thermometer with a mercury and wet bulb and they take up a lot of room. The thermometer supposedly has an accuracy of 1/2 degree. There is a temperature swing. It is spot on with a low of 99.25 and a high of 100.25. Is it okay to add the two up, divide by 2 and use that as my temperature? It comes out to be 99.75 which is what the directions say to use. Do you think this is the temp in the egg?
