Question about shavings from TSC

Any bag that I've ever seen that has cedar in it has it marked as cedar chips. And they tend to keep the cedar chips inside by the pet section.
Bedding outside of TC at the store nearest me has ALWAYS been pine.

Cedar also has a reddish tint to it, while the pine looks yellowish/golden in color. Obviously you can tell by the smell too, but the color is a definite tip-off. Good luck with your babies!!

Actually I did search before asking, like I usually do on discussion boards. The only other thread I got was this https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=45277 which really didn't answer the question, so thought I would check! As a first timer I am just paranoid! Thank you everyone for the answers! It doesn't look like cedar, I was just worried because I am assuming labeling it "wood shavings" means there is more than one kind in there. I will crack it open this weekend and have a smell.

Yep, even we often know there is a thread on a subject we can't find it. The search engine just doesn't give us the results we are looking for.
