Question about shipped eggs I received

Someone just contacted me to say they hatched 4 out of 2 dozen eggs we sent them. The packaging was damaged and three eggs were smashed. I would think such rough treatment would make them unviable, as we have been hatching lots of chicks at home. We pack very carefully in tissues, then in a carton taped shut, with a second carton cut and taped over that. Then wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a scrunched paper lined post box, so the cartons cand move. Opinions anyone, as this is the first time we have had broken eggs, and a buyer threatening us they will go public. I would think if the eggs had someone treat them that roughly they would have a bad hatch rate.
