When I was looking on line for baby ducks they wanted to know if I wanted them to have shots . Now I bought mine just put of town and they didn't know anything about shots. They didn't even know how old they were, from there look I'm thinking a few days old.

Shots for what? I'm assuming they mean vaccinations, but ducks really don't get vaccinated for anything. They don't get Marek's like chickens do, and that's the most common vaccination.

Where were you looking to buy from that they wanted to vaccinate ducklings?

There were a few but it was from out of state I'm thinking wow they wanted $40 to ship 4 ducks . Not counting the cost of the babies and the shots. That was just for shipping . I willl look up the name and get back with you it's on my laptop and right now I'm on my tablet.

That's probably pretty normal for shipping prices, so that's fairly standard. But the vaccinations thing isn't which is why I'm curious what they were trying to get you to have them vaccinated for.

They stated that there was a germ that ducks would get as babies and that I really should do shots they cost like $2 each and yes I was going to get them but have not found anyplace that even speaks of them . Said it was to keep them healthy and to help with the not having problems with there feet . I'm going to get my laptop to send you there name k I have not been here in about 4 years so I don't know ow anything about the trophies or what there for . I'll have to read up on this part of BYC Im guessing . Will get back asap

Yep, I really have no clue what they're talking about and am very curious to see it, lol. Leg issues can be caused by niacin deficiency, but that's all about what you feed them and has nothing to do with any germs.
