Question about size genetics and such

If you were to breed a large fowl rooster to a bantam hen, would the chicks be fine?

I am wondering if the chick will be programmed to grow a larger size because of the larger father, and something happen in the small size bantam egg.

Sorry if this is a silly question, I am really new to all of this.

Size is to a degree sex linked, you would expect the chicks to mature to a size larger than the bantam but smaller than the large fowl.
