OK guys, I just hatched my first bunch of chicks. I have NH's, BO's and some little bitty Sizzles (Silkie / Frizzle cross). My question has to do with feed. With my first and with the last chicks that I bought, I fed them all medicated starter feed for chicks. I have never fooled with the smaller breed birds so I’m wondering if crumbles are small enough for these chicks? They just seem to be big for them so I have been crushing up some of the crumbles and putting that in a small board in the brooder. I was even thinking about separating the smaller birds from the Lg breed birds to make sure that the little guys are getting some feed. Any thoughts on this? Or, should I just stop worrying about it....they look fine they are just tiny compared to the other chicks. Thanks, Chris
