Question about space requirements and other things for bobwhites

I have 4 young bobwhite chicks that it looks like I'm going to be stuck with.

-How much space per bird do they need?

-How old do they need to be before I can tell the sexes?

-Do they need roosts?

-What else do I need to know?

Ok Shelley Lets See Here--- No Roosters Again They Are Ground Dwellers. They Are Flighty So A Lil Hieght In The Pen Is Ok, But Not Too Much. As Adolescents You Can Start To See The Color Changes On Their Heads--- Black And Wht Are Roos, Brown And Black Are Hens. And Again They Are Peck Monsters Like Most Game Birds, So Surface Area And Hides Are Great. Oh If Your Having A Cage Built Try To Figure On A Very Flighty Bird Being In It When You ConfiGure The Door---- Absolutely No Top Opening Cages--- 1st Time You Open It You'll Hear "poof" And There'll Be Nothin Left But The Odd Shed Feathers! Go With Front Opening Doors And A Nice 3-4 Inch Bottom "lip" Under The Door Helps As Well As A Top "lip"

Oh, And Go To The Sporting Good Section Of Walmart And Buy A Dip Net! You'll Likely Need It! Lol
