I know that pullets squat before they start to lay. Of my eight pullets, two are now squatting and though I know for a fact one is laying I don't know if the second has started yet but I was wondering if pullets/hens continue to squat throughout their lives or if it is a behavior that only occurs when they first start to lay. I know it is a form of "chicken flirtation" (glad to know my chickens respect me enough to have me help create their babies, lol) but I wasn't sure if it is something funny to look forward to forever or if I need to be capturing it on film for memory's sake (yes, I know I am silly, but I am making a chicken scrapbook of me raising my chicks from babies).
Thanks ahead of time!

My older hens who are about 2½ yrs old still squat.
