describe the droppings..color and consistency
do they hunch up?
are they eating as normal?

what all do you feed?

check the crops?
check for any other symptoms.

could they have got into anything bad? (lawn/garden chemicals, motor oils/chemicals, compost pile, stagnant water, anything dead or rotten, poisonous plants)

been wormed? if so when? and what was used?
color of combs..pale? normal? flopping over?
are the birds thin?

are you able to take a fecal sample to a vet for worm/protozoa(cocci) test?(sometimes called a fecal float)

No blood in poo. Yes they hunch up, no eating, just stand there. They are on layer pellets and are fed bread scraps from time to time. They free range for about 2 or 3 hours each day. No chemicals here, I have small children so all things like that are kept up. Haven't been wormed this year, is about 4 months old. Barely has a comb, lighter than usual, not flopping over but lying there and let everyone come up to them.

I don't know if our vets here would do that for chickens.....do all of them?
