my three week olds need to move out of the fireplace and into the coop.
i'll finish the inside tonight and concentrate on the rest later. my question is should i block off the nest boxes so they don't become accustomed to using them for playing or sleeping ? thanks.

I did. After my then 6 & 7 week girls went into the coop they immediately found the cozy nest boxes and began roosting in them....which of course means they pooped in them...alot. I covered mine with burlap and they've left them alone since. I'll reintroduce them when they are ready to lay around 20 wks.
