Question about telling goose gender

It takes some time to get used to but if you select the alternative drop down menu and then change the very last bubble at the bottom to buff in the male column you can then put the female in as dimorphic, pied, and blue to get the column to indicate white. When you hit calculate you can see the likely results of your crosses and with buffs the male throws the color to the female goslings and the males are regular. I don’t know the genes your birds have but if you do, then it may help you figure out what’s going on.
So there might be some auto sexing happening? I don’t know what genes they have. They were both Craigslist finds but I do think the Roman Tufted is pure bred. I might have to google around

"The American Poultry Association's American Standard of Perfection states that Roman tufted geese should be pure white, but some strains may have gray or buff feathers. Goslings may also have some gray feathers, but they often molt these out during their first year. The "spot" (pied) gene and the "dilution" gene work together to produce white feathers, which can replace dark markings and allow females to retain some gray feathers on their rumps. This gray rump is a useful characteristic for auto-sexing goslings."

Does this mean that she could have either the pied or dilution? Or dimorphic? is that when the 2 genes make white?

So if you run your white Roman goose as Dimorphic, Pied, Blue, Grey you get this :

I’m still sure I’m missing something to not get the pied babies, but I’d suspect if you sexed the buff goslings they’d be female

Yea I think you’re probably right. I think you have dilute grey or “blue” pied males and buff pied females.

Let me know what you find out!
