So yesterday 4/5 of my babes hatched without a hitch. While they were drying off playing kick soccer in the bator, im pretty sure they cracked the fifth egg against the water reservoir! The crack looks different from all teh other pips, more of a straight line, less of a hole with cracks around it. It has been 24 hours and no movement or progress. Should I do something? Do you think this is a pip or a crack? This is day 22.

Sorry for the blurry pic. Taken through the incubator. What do you guys think?

Pick up the egg. Listen. Is there any cheeping going on? Smell it. Does it smell bad? Find a "hen talking to chicks" video on YouTube. Let the egg 'hear' it. Any cheeping now?

No smell, no sound. Candled when I had it though. thoughrt I saw movement. Just gonna leave it be for now.

Usually pips crack outwardly around a centre point, so it could be just a crack. If they're this close to hatching, a crack like that shouldn't matter much as long as it hasn't punctured any vessels. I would wait and see if it pips elsewhere.

Ok. Keep me posted. I had shipped eggs; arrived in excellent condition.
On day 21, one hatched, late. Another the next morning, day 22. Most of the others hatched that day. One was the evening, so very late. The final egg, no signs of anything on day 23. I smelled it and there was no smell. The next morning, day 24, I picked it up to toss it and heard cheeping!!! OMG! At that point, I made a safety hole in the air sack area, which was sideways by the way, and watched all day, moistening the membrane with a tiny brush and coconut oil. Chick couldn't finish on her own, so by night time I looked for active veins, and then very carefully enlarged the hole so the chick could get out.
She's now running around outside in the coop/run and doing fine. BUT I am in the camp of 'yes I will help a chick to hatch', while others are firmly in "don't help, if the chick can't get out on her own that's her fate'.
Good luck!!

Still nothing from this little egg. Was just tapping it and thought i felt movement in there but could have been wishful thinking. The crack/scratch seems superficial so I'm confused why this is the only one that didn't hatch. Could be a million things I guess. This is day 23. I will probably let it try until day 25.
