Question about the temp sensor in the incubator

In my homebuilt incubator, I have an electronic temp sensor that turns the light blub on and off.

Should the sensor probe be inside, or outside the water wiggler?

The thermometer probe will be in the water wiggler of course, but I am concerned about the probe that controls the light bulb.

Thanks,
Marcus

I would keep it outside of the wiggler. Reason being is the wiggler will be slow to change temps and is an indication of what you want in the egg. The air temp is what can change fast and you want the thermometer controling heating to be in that air so the temp in the wiggler changes even less or not at all.
