Question about turning eggs in Incubator?

How times in a 24 hour period must the eggs be turned?

I handturn eggs 3 times a day..always an odd number of turns...I turn in the morning when I get up, around 2 in the afternoon and 9 or 10 at night...

Doesn't have to be precise or right on the dot...

i turn 3 times a day but never knew why till i found the answer and the light bulb went off.

if you turn an even number of times, the last side it was on gets more time "overnite" if you are not getting up in the middle of the nite

if you turn an odd number of times, ie/ x o x, the next day it is o x o, so they get an "equal amount of time, every other day!

does this make sense?

I turn 4x. When I get up in the middle of the night to get a drink and use the batheoom I give them a turn.
