Hello Everyone,
Ok before my question I just want to start with saying hello. I'm new to the forum. I have had chickens in the past as well as turkey, pea fowl , and ducks. We moved several years ago to a bigger property and I'm ready to start a new flock. I miss my birds tremendously. We had a huge flood several years back and I lost them all but one.
Anyway, I have hatched chicks with both hen, and incubator, but only with the incubator a few times. At the time I turned them by hand. Now to the question.......
When I turned by hand I would actually turn them. With the turners it seems they are going from side to side. Does this make any difference ? Or am I misunderstanding how a turner works ?
Also, just wanted opinions on how people feel about hand turning vs using a turner ( either automatic or manual )
