Question about two of my new Barred Rock chicks...

Since I realized I have 4 cockerels and 2 pullets (4 weeks old), I went back to Southern States and picked 6 new Barred Rock babies. I didn't pay attention to their faces...was concentrating on sex characteristics, trying to pick 6 definite pullets.

When I got home, I got the camera out and started snapping pictures of the new babies (of course!). I realized that two of my BR chicks have brown on their faces...around their eyes! My other six never had brown...just black and yellow...and I'm wondering, are these two babies mixed (I call 'em mutts...like what you call a dog that is a mixed breed...they're mutts

)? Are they not pure Barred Rocks? I'm guessing that because of the brown, they are mutts...but I'm not sure, cuz I'm new to raising chickens.

BTW, I posted this question in "what breed or gender is this" and never got any replies, so I thought I'd try here.

my purebreds dont have that soooo ya im guessing they are . a X with what i have no idea... could be a number of things that feathers brown... .. heres a close up of one of my chicks at a few days old

in that last pic ....that chick looks more brownish than black really to me anyway. maybe its a partridge rock ?

My barred rock/ Rhode island red mix had the brown on their faces. It's gone now one dark barred and one light barred
