Question about Wazine Wormer

Okay, I did 24 hours with the wazine in the water, though I don't know how much they actually drank; didn't seem like they found the water very palatable.

Decided to hold off on the dusting since honestly, I can't find a single mite/louse/creepy crawly on the bunch.

Question is--- will I now begin to see worms in their poop? Ick?
How will I know whether the wazine worked?

And should I repeat it in a few days?

Astrid

You may or may not see worms in the feces. And yes you do always have to followup treat with Wazine. Personally I"d use another med to follow up in 2 weeks to 4 weeks. Ivermectin, Fenbendazole (safe-guard paste for cattle etc), levamisole, etc. I personally use ivermectin because it also gets external blood-taking pests like mites, lice. And it kills the larvae of roundworms so you stop the cycle - doesn't just do the digestive tract.

Okay, Ivermectin in 3 weeks. Orally? On the skin? I'm familiar with worming horses with ivermectin, but chickens? How do you stick that thing down their throats?

You will just make a bb-sized piece of the ivermectin and put that in their beak.

Apple-flavor huh? heheh I bet the horses aren't fooled - doubt the chickens will be either. /wink But it's good stuff, and they'll just have to deal with the flavor.
