Your calories seem okay - I dont know what your weight goal is, or what your fat content is either. You should be balancing out your calories, carbs, and fat in order to make it all work together along with your exercise routine. You can eat 1200 calories a day and still gain weight...if you're eating nothing but high carb high fat foods, so its a learning curve and lifestyle thing. Then agian, you can eat 2000 calories a day if you're really watching carbs and fats - its really dependent on what you're doing and watching, hence the balance.

I posted somewhere on here a while back (under one of the Alli threads) of calories to fat and carbs based off of the "new" FDA guidelines and whatnot. They say 2500 calories and no more than 65 grams of fat per day.. however... thats alot of fat and the carb rate along with the sodium rate was extremely high.

You need to break it down based off of what your goal weight is and what you are eating now, then divide using the ratio I posted under that other thread, it will tell you how much of what to eat to lose or maintain - but remember, its just a guideline

*lol* As I always say, the concept of loosing weight is not hard. You have to eat fewer calories than your body requires to run per day in order to loose weight.

The hard part is getting those calories from a balanced diet. Fats have a certain number of calories, carbs contain so many calories, fruits and vegies contain a certain number of calories. Heck, you could gain weight if you ate more calories than you body needs in carrots.

It's a lot easier said than done, now....pass me a cookie please.....

DH asked me last night how much Diet Pepsi I drink in a day and I drink about 6-8 cans, which is alot to me when I broke it down like that. He said I need to stop and I told him when he stops smoking, I'll stop drinking pop! I know I'm pretty safe!
