And yet another "By the way", I can't drive a nail to save my life, so my coop/run was built using a nailgun and screws (with drill) and I used a large staple type air gun to put up the chicken wire on the outside of the frame then more wood over that, just to make it look better. However, my point is that the h/w wire on the inside can be put up with a staple gun also and I didn't wear gloves and I didn't get cut like I've read about so many others. Anyway, hope all this advice helps, I've just been learning as I go and have had my own bad experience, but yet I've seen so many pics of people that have these wide open looking coops with the giant gaps in the fencing around their flock and they seem totally fine, yet I don't see how they haven't had the same problems with loosing birds the way that I have. So I don't mean to sound like a doom and gloomer, and you could potential be fine with seemingly anything, as so many others seemingly have. I just would like to spead the word and help anyone else avoid what could and probably will happen, and had it not happened to me, I would probably read this crap and think it was just over kill, no pun intended.
