Question for backyard processors....what would you trade?

That's very true - and I'm grateful. I felt ripped off at first, but it really is so much work that a few dollars doesn't even seem worth it.

Every time I process now, I feel like my Grandma back in the old days. It's a good feeling to be self-sufficient! I never thought I could do such a thing. My mom still rolls her eyes...

I've learned....no, am learning....to just not say certain things to certain people. Or to torment certain people by saying too much, tee-hee!

I bought a custom-built scythe this summer and mowed my pasture, took me a week of an hour a day. Loved it. Got LOTS of eye-rolling.....it would cost me $100-200 each time to get it mowed, and since once or twice a year is sufficient, well, the math is clear.

But I am still the strange lady that lives down the road.....and I revel in that reputation. They may be coming to me one day to learn how to take care of their families' basic needs, without fossil fuels. HAH! So there!

Whoa! What is that?!?!? Did you build it? Is it to exercise the dog or to exercise you?
