Do you think it's possible to screw into the plastic to attach a hasp and staple for a padlock on both the rear door and the egg port door? Do you think screws would hold well directly in the plastic? Would that introduce leaks or other issues I haven't considered? Or have you come up with other methods for securing the doors? My primary concerns are theft from humans and raccoons.

When I can save up the $$ I plan to get a very large walk in run and put the entire cube inside of it and lock down the run with a padlock. But till then I'd like to beef up security a bit.

I think you could use bolts with nuts. You could then put silicone around the outside part to prevent leaks.

I know it's a couple of months old, but if you haven't done this yet, you can also just use child safety door knob covers - they fit over the handles perfectly (no cutting or drilling requried!).

Which child safety door knobs did you use?
These, just their 2014 version that I had when my kids were younger: https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/product/kidco-door-knob-locks-set-of-2/112240
