I want to build a tractor that looks kind of like the the little red chicken hut(A frame) from i think page 40. I am not sure what size wood the use for the frame and the side/roof. Do you think the frame is a 2x4, 2x3 or 1x2 ? I want to use it of for a quad of banty girls. What do you think i should use for the wire screen? the 1/2in or the 1/2in one? I will make the whole thing 4ft wide and 6ft long every angle at 60 degree.

2" x 2" lumber would be sufficient and lighter, but 2" x 4"s are often easier to find and cheaper. If it was me, Iʻd go with the 2" x 4"s. The question I always had is about treated lumber. Yes or no for use with chickens?

With all the snow and rin we have i really think i should use treated.
The prices for the 2x2 vs 2x4 is 2.97$ an 3.35$ and i only need 4-5 of them so there would be that much of a price difference. THe big thing now is the plywood or OSB and what kind of ridge cap. Good thing is i already have enough vinyl tiles to do the floor in the coop .
