Question for sewers/seamstresses ;) .. need help with a pattern/design

I just got back from the store... my son went nuts over a base/foot/basket/soccer ball flannel... so we got that and 4 other sports fabrics...2 he picked out and two I picked out because they are Daddy's teams

LOL He was KISSING them all through the store and holding them up for people to see!

His daddy will be SO proud!

My daughter went around wal mart one day sporting a bike helmet that has the pads all at the top so they can hang it up. Biggest dang dork ya ever did see!
But that also comes from the mom that used to wear combat boots while skipping up the mall walkways singing the tiny toons theme.

Here's what I have done so far...... just pinned some of it together to get a feel for how it;s going to sit.

Trying to decide...... should I do feet and keep them tight to the body or dangle them on legs??

I love to mkae pillowcases. Not sure why? Maybe b/c they are easy. I switch them out for every month/season for my kidlets
