Question for those of you who have raised bantams -

I have about 30+ bantams right now of all ages, all raised from chicks, and I've never done anything special to their food. I just put it out and they seem to be able to handle it. They find the smaller pieces in the beginning and then move onto the larger ones in a week or so. There is always enough variety in sizes of chick food - dust to big pieces.

ZooMummzy is right... they don't need anything special done with their food. Just like they don't need heat lamps on their spoiled butts!!! hahahaahahha I only add enough feed that they will eat it all in a few hours... then I'll fill it up again later. It will get stagnet like and spoil if it is there for a day or so.

I only do this the first week.. or so

Then, when I add the dry stuff, they peck at it and are like, Whaat?!

I have 7 bantam chicks that eat the starter just fine! They also eat chick grt and treats without any difficulty.
