question?? I am moving from bator to hatcher do I leave them in carton

Do I leave them in the egg carton that they have been in the gqf bator or do I lay them flat in the hatcher. I have a new bator and hatcher so that is why I am asking . Thanks

I left mine in the carton, but I'm no expert, I prefer to leave mine under a hen.

Well If my black copper marans hens would hatch them that would be even better but since they do not go broody very often the bator it is.

I hatch mine in the cartons.

I haven't actually hatched eggs yet, but I did hear that if you leave the eggs in the carton and they pip the wrong end, they can suffocate, so I wouldn't do it.
