Question: includes loss of birds

For heat, we add ice to the drinking water and make sure they have plenty of shade. You can put an entire frozen water bottle in larger waterers that will keep the water cool longer. You can also lay frozen water bottles out for them to lay on, give them inexpensive kitty litter trays with water to wade in, and even feed them cold watermelon to help keep them cool. I have one group that loves watermelon and another group that won't touch the stuff.

Wanted to update..

Hen in the barn doing well with the little ones.
Hurt hen ate 1TBSP of Yogurt with an aspirin
1/2 scrambled egg
1/2 small watermelon scoop
She stood up, preened herself, stretched and laid back down. She looks like she may make it ... YIPPEEEEE

Now for another question... when the time is right... how do I re-introduce her to her "old friend" hen and the newer babies? Do I isolate her like I did the little ones?

I will be working on reinforcing the fence tomorrow... going to add welded wire to the inside of the privacy to help stop anything else from trying to break through. If that doesn't work... they may have to be coop raised (not bad, but not ideal). When I say coop raised... they will still have plenty of sunshine... I don't mean... locked inside the whole time.
