Picking Blue Berries at age 12 at the going rate of 6 cents a pint. Only job I was ever fired from. Didn't break my heart. Next day went to work with Dad framing houses. $40.00 a week minus $10.00 for room and board.
 
My first paying job both officially and unofficially was playing organ for church - about $100 for an hour on Sunday (not counting the hours of practicing I put in all week!).
 
Hickory Farms store (when they still existed in malls). Met my husband who was mean to me at first and eventually changed. We have been married 38 years.

After babysitting and helping my dad in his bar, I worked for Ames, in the shoe dept. For all you young people who have no idea what an Ames was, it was like a Hills or Zayre. Hope that helps😁
 
At an afterschool program. Naturally since I don't like kids, I didn't work there long and left after 3 months to work retail. Sure, retail isn't the most glamorous job but at least I don't have to deal with children
