My parent's families always knew of each other. But my uncle who is my dad's brother, married my aunt who is my mom's sister. So my parents really got together at my aunt and uncle's wedding. And us kids are double first cousins

My dad's mom and my mom's grandmother set them up 
They met in person at the mall finally shortly after, and I guess my grandmothers had good instincts!

My mother needed a place to live in Brooklyn where she was teaching, and my dad's parents had a room to rent.

My parents parents knew each other a bit. Their villages were located next to each other. And then the older sister of my father married a farmer that lived around the corner where my mother lived. ….
My parents met at college. My mom for some reason decided to walk up to him and say "you have weird eyes" as the first words she ever said to him. My dad said he was pretty offended, but must not have been too bad because they got married.
