At my age, I'm getting close to resembling that.

I say, "It's been great talking to you, take care, bye!" And I leave.

That is if the person stops talking to let you say that. I often have to hold my mom hand and gently swing it so that she looks at me and stop for a second and I have to quickly say whatever before she started again.

Why wait, they may never stop. I just say it right over the top of them. My time is precious to me. I own it. Boundaries are important. I respect myself too much to let anyone control my most precious resource like that.
