By far mine is River Dance.
My boyfriend and I went to see it at the Tivoli Theater in 1998.
I know this is a show and not a play. But lots of music and dancing.
It was truly amazing!

It still counts!!!!!

When I was a child, our next door neighbour was the Stage Director at Artscape Theatre, which is the main performing arts centre in Cape Town, and he use to give me tickets for shows - mainly for children's matinee theatre; and I even got to go backstage sometimes. The two best shows that I saw there were 'Phantom of the Opera' and 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'; but none of that for me compares to when I saw 'Les Misérables' in its London theatre! Seeing that massive stage turn is a mind blowing experience.

Irving Berlin's "White Christmas;" the live stage-musical, not the movie (although I adore that, too!) I've seen it twice, and will go again when it returns in a few years. The train-car scene with "Snow" is the best mood-booster/Holiday-starter I've come across!

Into the Woods. I used to watch and rewatch the version with Bernadette Peters over and over again to the point that I'm surprised no one in my family resorted to destroying the tape. I know my Mom was thoroughly sick of the songs to the point that she still can't stand to hear me sing them.

I LOVED Bernadette Peters. She was truly one of the most underrated actresses of her time!
