I think Google guided me here although I don't remember my initial question. Then I realized the depths of my ignorance and what a treasure cave of knowledge was here. I joined in hopes of learning and also with the goal of someday becoming myself a helper to other newbies someday.

I found BYC while I was researching before getting chickens. The information shared by members here seemed a lot more reliable than what I found on blogs. And the people seemed really knowledgeable, experienced, and willing to help. On top of that, they're pleasant and funny. And so I joined and stayed!
