Mostly bread cubes, cornbread or both. Mom put onions, celery and raisins in hers. Maybe chicken broth, not too much. Seasonings like sage, salt, pepper and I don't remember what else. Rosemary, thyme, maybe. ... tossed lightly and put loosely inside the bird to absorb all the flavors and moisture of the bird. It came out hot, steaming and delicious, was removed from the bird and served on the side. With gravy. Yum!Stuffing is the bread crumbs that we eat on the side along with the turkey.
Dressing is what we put on a salad.
I actually don’t know what stuffing is made of. I don’t really eat it.
