Stuffing or Dressing

tossed lightly and put loosely inside the bird to absorb all the flavors and moisture of the bird. It came out hot, steaming and delicious, was removed from the bird and served on the side. With gravy. Yum!
It actually helps keep moisture IN the bird when cooked in the internal cavity. Turkey can dry out fast if you don't have it stuffed.

I make "in and out" stuffing. I will cook some in the bird and some in a casserole dish if people don't want to do the "in bird" version. Even the stuff I cook in the bird I will toss back in the oven to make sure it's fully cooked after I remove it.

Dressing, we serve it in the side. I’ve no desire to give guests Ptomaine poisoning by under cooking the stuffing (in bird).
