Question of the Day - Saturday, May 25th, 2024

I interpreted this as "for the same company", not "doing the same job". I've been a linux engineer for 25 years, just not all at the same company.
That's what I figured. And the person I know has been working for the same company 10+ years.

He probably grew up when multitasking didn't really work well. Just wait until he hears about octa-core CPUs that can handle a ton of open windows.
Yeah, the only coding he's heard of is BASIC (Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) and when I started learning HTML and Java, he said, "You ain't doin' it right! Why aren't you writing flowcharts and stuff?!" Because we don't do that any more, Dad.
And he tells me to "close all those flipping tabs you got open!" When I have 4 tabs...
I need that sign.
Me too!
