Just enjoying the Fall weather, whatever we may be lucky enough to have. Fishing, hunting, football season, and since my daughter play’s volleyball the last several years I spend a lot time traveling to her matches and tournaments, and I love watching her and some her close friends, who are kind of like my adoptive daughters, compete and have fun.

Hunt and enjoy seeing the leaves change colors. They seem to be late this year, though. Usually by mid Oct is our peak season but a lot are still green

October used to be my month of parties. I'd throw a mega board game night party, a pumpkin carving party, and a murder mystery party, and I loved planning out everything and being a hostess. Now though - I have to admit it's nice having no plans and just watching autumn approach. We didn't have the storybook four seasons where I'm from. So I think currently my favorite thing to do during the Autumn season is to simply enjoy Autumn.

Now that the chickens are going to bed at a reasonable hour, I can too!

This afternoon I sat out in the back yard with my GC and our dogs for a couple of hours, just enjoying the unseasonably balmy weather, watching the chickens and listening to the songbirds. Very pleasant.

We like to go leaf peeping, and do a local corn maze. This year, I'm going to let the chickens carve my pumpkin, I hope.
