Question of the Day - Sunday, August 25th, 2024

No, but I once had an armadillo run in front of my bike one morning. Obviously I didn't hit him (this bike is set up for commuting and hauling groceries, not speed) but I learned that armadillos aren't traffic saavy if they run out in front of a cyclist going maybe 10mph......

Yes, I am afraid I have.

This is a messed up story, but when I was a teenager this friend of mine wanted me to go on a blind date with this girl that was a friend of the girl he had a date with. I knew better, but he wouldn't let up, so I did it. We picked the girls up at the house of the girl that I was going to be with. I could already see that it was a no go for me as soon as I met her. But, I had to go through with it. It was going to be a long night. I would try to make the best of it.

So, as we are driving away from her house this dog just came out of nowhere and ran straight under the front of my vehicle. I had no chance at all to brake, or try to avoid it in anyway. It was like it was on a death mission. It was bad, but to make it worse the girl I was with immediately started crying saying that was her dog. I was already stopping to go back, but she told me, no, go on, he is dead, which it was obvious that he was. She said her Dad would take care of it, and it wasn't my fault, and she didn't want to see him that way. What was going to be a really bad night instantly turned into a bit of a nightmare.

At least she didn't blame you. That's a rough time, for all involved

What is it with all the toads 😭. Good thing Pandora and Spotify are too stupid to understand what being dead is
