Sometimes music, other times getting outside. Most times sadness devolves into a sort of depression that takes a few days to dissipate.

  • Doing something I enjoy (small hikes in an uplifting environment, watching a interesting movie, a tasty diner with family or friends) .
  • Succeeding in a goal I have set, which is getting something done or even better finishing a project. Bigger things like getting a new website online. Having the children’s playhouse ready for the new chickens. But also smaller things like finishing a hike, mowing the lawn, cleaning the coop or a cupboard in my own house, finding new comfortable clogs that fit after my old one died.
 
1. Tending to the animals, or just hanging out with them. It's nice to take a stroll with Ranger, Raven is a sweetheart, the kittens are harbingers of chaos with a mischief quota and are always a source of laughter and the ladies are always fun to watch whether they're chilling in their run or freeranging
2. Playing a chill game. Skyrim is fun to wander around in, pick flowers and see what you find, Bloons TD 6 is a game that is a game that is both chill and requires focus (especially when doing half cash, double HP moabs and chimps), I am terrible at the binding of Isaac, but it is pretty chill anyways and hunter call of the wild has the best graphics of any game I've played and it's chill enough that I can just sit with a cup of tea while waiting on something to show up and it requires focused patience as I wait for something to get close enough to take a clean shot
3. Hanging out in a random twitch stream, especially if the streamer is a fellow Christian
