When I had physical therapy on my wrist, I chatted with the therapist. He told me that he'd had a recently married older couple in the week before, and the man had suddenly lost his hearing, so his wife was coming with him.

She told the therapist it was "exasperating, and this isn't what I planned when we got married!"

I told the therapist, "Next time, tell her that they should both learn Morse Code, and they can tell each other dirty jokes and no one will know why they're laughing."

I wanted to say to her, "Lady, what part of 'For better or worse, in sickness and in health' did you not understand?!"

Anyone see the episode of The Office, when Jim and Pam learned morse code to communicate without Dwight knowing what they were saying? The tapping was driving Dwight crazy so they switched to morse code blinking

You know, that would be a fabulous way to encode messages and relay them, like in wartime over the radio or something.

One of my interests as a teenager was wireless telegraphy, I was even going to build my own set. I did know Morse at the time, but I couldn't tell you anything now.

Not really. My Brother does though so I learned a bit from peaking over his shoulder during his studies
