I’ve kept a journal since I was eight years old. I didn’t really start writing in it till COVID hit and my mom said that we should write what it was like, cause we were living history. Now my journal is kinda where I put stuff instead of yelling my head off at people.

I can tell you why. Nosey Moms take locked and hidden diaries as a challenge. She's nosey in the first place, now you're purposefully hiding things from her? What is it? Why would you need to hide things from Mom? Are you experimenting with drugs? Is someone bullying you? It could be a million terrible things. She MUST find out to make sure you're safe.

Just don't keep a diary, or don't put anything in it you wouldn't want Mom to know.

Better Idea. Decoy diary. She's GOING to find it if you hide it. So leave her one to find.

I always tell my son, "There are no secrets in this house, unless it's a Christmas or birthday present". I go through his phone and tablet on the regular. The computer is in the livingroom. He is not allowed to be in his room, on any electronic device. It is my job, as a mom, to protect him. I know you get it but I fully expect these young kids to be annoyed for my son
