Question of the Day - Sunday, October 6th, 2024

The best day of my life was...um...well....Christmas two years ago. I played organ for all masses that day and even though there was only a cantor (no choir), it was the crowning moment of the years I'd spent practicing with no organist position in sight.

My wedding day was the best one in the first 50 years of my life. In the last 12, I've had some days that were really special and made me feel very fulfilled as a human being. A lot of those included my husband, so they stem from my wedding day.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm sure I have had some days that would count, it just doesn't feel like it. For now, I'll say when my new doctor actually took me seriously and prescribed an anti anxiety to help my mental state

My wedding day, hands down. Still shocked she was crazy enough to saddle herself with me, even all these years later. The day I was able to connect with each of my kids are mutual second place. Not always the day of their birth, because those tend to be very chaotic and more about Mom and baby being OK and happy. But as a Dad, there's a point where you get them for a few minutes of your own silent bonding and it clicks. Hard to describe, it's a lot of emotion that defies words.

Yeah, the days my kids were born are right up there, but they're not the best. The very best day of my life was the day I realized that God is real and that He really truly loves ME. Yeah, me! And that He hears my prayers and I can talk to Him any time, anywhere, about anything. That's the most amazing thing in the world and it still blows me away, every single day.
