Question of the Day - Thursday, August 14th, 2025

I don't do much fishing anymore. When I did,, my choice was worms.
I also used corn, and doughballs for carp. Yes,, I'm in that small minority that eat carp.:drool:drool:drool
Now, I just take the grandchildren to the local pond, and "catch-n-release"
The fish are generally small.
I remove the barb from the hooks, so they are easy to remove, and do not cause much injury to fish.
I know that the fish do not die after such catching,,, because I used to bring some home, and keep in my aquarium. When they grew too big, I took back to pond/river and released.:frow

My son uses liver when he goes catfishing. Seems to work b/c he comes home and we have a fish fry.
I use liver for catfish also. BEST CHOICE :thumbsup
Wild caught catfish, and bullheads are good eating. I do not like farm raised catfish from stores. They seem to have too much FAT in the flesh for me.

No, I don't catch carp. Or eat them. They are garbage fish. Then again, I don't really eat fish at all. I like cod and my brother in law's walleye. That's it. Not a seafood fan
Me neither. And people are always like “YOU LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND AND HATE SEAFOOD!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!” And I’m always just like yes. Yes I do. :lau

Liver or cut bait for catfish, worms or spinners for fresh water.
Herring for ocean, and chicken for crab and crawdads.
Beer or whiskey to keep the skeeters away. :yesss:
