Sort of lost, but not for very long, while driving. More like I wasn't sure where I was in relation to where I wanted to go, but knew I would get to somewhere that I could find my way again.
Sort of lost, never for a really very long time while hiking. Lost a track many times. Never had to stay overnight on a mountain.
Sometimes my bike or my car got lost for a long time bc I forgot (the way back to) where I parked the vehicle.
Nowadays a cellphone makes it almost impossible to get lost in rural area’s or in my country as a whole. Only on very rare spots we can’t get a signal.
A couple of times, when I was little. Once was before I had glasses, so the world was a blur, and I was little, so I was lost in a sea of pant legs; there were no faces. It was ... terrifying. The other time was up in the mountains of Colorado and I wasn't alone so it wasn't quite so scary and we were about 7. Dad found me, both times. But I still have an abiding terror of crowds to this day, complete with panic attacks.
